Local Road & Stormwater Construction:

Work will begin on Monday, October 12, at 8:00 AM. State Road 13 (Madison Street) will be reduced to one lane for up to five business days while crews perform the work.

CSX Update:

Motorists traveling through Fortville, McCordsville, Lawrence, and the surrounding area should prepare for multiple railroad crossing closures the week of October 9th – 13th.

CSX Railroad has scheduled closures at the following crossings:

FORTVILLE
🚧 Garden Street
🚧 Merrill Street
🚧 Madison Street/State Road 13

McCORDSVILLE
🚧 750 North
🚧 Depot Street
🚧 600 West
🚧 500 West
🚧 400 West

✅ CROSSINGS CURRENTLY NOT SCHEDULED TO CLOSE

Fortville: Main Street and Noel Avenue
McCordsville: Carroll Road/700 West

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: CSX has not provided exact dates or times for when each crossing will close or reopen. Multiple crossings could close at the same time, so motorists are encouraged to plan, allow additional travel time, and be prepared to use alternate routes.

CSX Railroad is scheduling, controlling, and conducting these closures, not the Town of Fortville, Town of McCordsville, or City of Lawrence.
