Applying For A Solicitor Permit

Applicants wishing to apply for a Peddler/Solicitor license may do so by filling out the form below and scheduling an appointment with the Fortville Police Department.

Department office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and are located at 714 E. Broadway, Fortville, Indiana 46040 (enter west door). Please email [email protected] to schedule an appointment. You must bring a completed application and all documents listed in the ordinance to your appointment. Failure to do so will result in the denial of your application.

  • Solicitor/Peddler Ordinance 2018-6D
  • Solicitor Info Needed with Application:
    • A color copy of each individual's driver's license, and/or state-issued identification card.
    • A copy of the required $500.00 Surety Bond.
    • A small color facial photo, of each individual participating, or preferably a digital color photo that can be emailed to [email protected].
  • Once your application is complete and includes all required documents, please visit Fortville Town Hall to submit payment for the application and background check fees. After payment is received, your background check will be processed. When your solicitor ID/permit is ready, Lt. Lyons will contact you directly.
